A valid point on budgets though Visma are estimated to have €55m per annum (as do Netcompany Ineos) compared to €60m. I think they’re all using the same approach. I imagine the €5m is lost in Pogacar’s salary?
Since 2019 Visma have won 10 grand tours and UAE 5. If UAE weren’t there Visma may well have won 15. Similarly without Visma UAE would be even more dominant. Elite sport via competition drives this phenomenon. In coming years it’ll be other teams and riders.
